PRACTICAS
MIT Argentine Tango club hosts a free practicas on MIT Campus. The practicas is free and open to everyone,
and you do not need a partner (though you are welcome to come with a partner and practice with him or her).
Practica is a place to practice your dance. There is no class beforehand, and there is no guidance from tango teachers,
though you are welcome to ask other people for help.
There are two MIT Tango Club Practicas: the Monday Practica and the Thursday Practica
A note on the practicas:
Practicas are good opportunities to dance and exchange feedback with people you may not be familiar with. Part of the appeal of tango is the community we build, both in attracting new dancers and retaining experienced ones. If you're a new dancer, don't be afraid to ask a more experienced dancer for advice (chances are, they've been there before). If you're a more experienced dancer, dancing with a beginner could inspire them to delve deeper into the dance. We especially encourage you to dance with someone you haven't danced with during Thursday practicas between 8-9 pm.

Thursday practica notes:
we get a lot of e-mails from out of towners asking if the practica is on a particular day,
or if the practica is going on in a particular period (summer, winter, Thanksgiving, Solstice, etc).
If no cancellation is listed in the "schedule" above, then the practica is on.
Also we ask you to use Google maps to figure out how to get there if at all possible.
If you are still having trouble, then go ahead and e-mail us.
PRACTICA LOCATIONS
Occasionally the practicas do not take place at their regular locations for reasons outside of our control.
When this is the case we make a note of this in the schedules above, as well as send out announcements, if possible. Here are some directions to the alternate
locations when listed in the schedules above. Please do not go to these locations unless directed in the schedule. We can get in real trouble this way.
